Update: Nashua-Plainfield high school student dies - KCRG

Sam Hake (Courtesy: Izabelle Bunn) Authorities say the New Hampton Police Department, Nashua Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DNR, Ionia Fire Department, Nashua Fire Department, Charles City Fire Department, Chickasaw Rescue Squad, Chickasaw Ambulance Service, and the Chickasaw County Emergency Management Agency responded to the Park. The agencies located and recovered the body of 17-year-old Samuel Hake of Nashua. Authorities say the incident is still under investigation.________________PREVIOUS STORY: The Nashua-Plainfield school district is grieving the loss of a high school student this weekend. In a post to the district's high school Facebook page, officials said they were informed Saturday evening that 11th-grader Sam Hake had died. The circumstances of the death weren't immediately clear. Here's the post in its entirety:Dear Parent/Caregiver, All of us at Nashua-Plainfield were saddened to receive news last evening of the passing of Sam Hake, one of our 11th grade students. We will be providing counseling support for our students on Monday morning starting at 9:00 a.m. in the junior high commons. We all react in individual ways to this type of event. Things such as developmental level, our relationships with the people impacted, our previous experience of loss, and our personal perceptions of death impact how we deal with this event.
